The alpha, beta and gamma of brainwaves

This is an article from NewScientist about how the brain communicates with itself. The memorable part of it is the image (see above). For me images are very powerful ways of communicating and in my years of teaching, I used them alot. One of the enduring criticisms from the student assessments was that my handouts consisted of images and very little or no text. It never changed my teaching since I believed that if they could remember the image they would have remembered the essence.
